premium pheasant hunts, prairie dogs, and fishing

Come connect with the outdoors of South Dakota while making memories and honoring tradition.

We have always had a passion for hunting, upland, guiding, fishing, camping, and waterfowl hunting. Any excuse to get out in the outdoors, we are in. We are excited to share this passion with you as we combine our previous experience in hospitality, guiding, and the great outdoors!

We enjoy hunting with our groups from all over the country and getting to know them.  We cannot wait to add you to our hunting memories as well as we move into the season.

We are located in what is referred to as The Golden Triangle.  The Golden Triangle is an area between Gregory, Winner and Chamberlain that has the highest pheasant populations in South Dakota,  Winner is a hunter friendly community with a legacy and reputation in pheasant hunting.

In this area you will not only find ring neck pheasants, but sharp tail grouse, and prairie chickens as well.  We have phenomenal white tail, mule deer, prairie dog, and turkey hunting.  Our proximity to the Missouri River also gives us world class fishing.  You can find walleye, catfish, bass, white fish, northern pike, buffalo, rainbow trout, carp, and more.

We are not a preserve so South Dakota Pheasant Hunting rules apply with a three roosters a day limit per hunter.  Shooting can be fast and furious, so be sure to allow for extra shells.  Our staff will clean and vacuum pack your birds each day after the hunt while you enjoy unlimited access to the lodge amenities. They will then be frozen and ready for transport or we can ship for an additional  fee.  Your pheasant can also be served for you right here by our staff on request.

Professional guides with trained retrievers will accompany you in the field.  You are also welcome to bring your hunting dog.  We require that your dog is current on vaccinations including bordatella.  We also recommend getting the rattlesnake vaccine.  Be advised that this shot also requires a booster.

Your dog must be crated in your room if left unattended.  We recommend all dogs hunting with us also be collar conditioned with an e-collar to help in a successful hunt.

Airport shuttle available from Pierre, Sioux Falls, and Rapid City.

Hunting packages include three meals a day.  Breakfast is served at 8am each day.  Lunch can be served in the field or back at the lodge depending on the days hunt.  Appetizers depending on hunt times, and Dinner are served each night at 7pm.  Your menu can be customized with advance notice.  Please check out our menu page and let us know of any dietary needs prior to your stay.

Beverages and snacks are available at all times.

We offer clay targets and launcher available to our guests to warm up before the hunt or get up to speed before we head out for the hunt.

South Dakota law does not require that you wear blaze orange, but for safety and visibility reasons, we recommend that you wear a blaze orange hat at a minimum.

Weather can be unpredictable from 70 degrees and sunny one day to snowy and windy the next, so please pack accordingly.  We recommend waterproof hunting or hiking boots comfortable for walking, a hunting jacket or vest, upland pants or chaps, and ibuprofen.
